Kawasaki Z1A 1974
1974
£19,000
The 1974 Kawasaki Z1A represents one of the most celebrated superbikes of the 1970s—an evolution of the original Z1 that cemented Kawasaki’s place at the top of the performance motorcycle world. With its striking colour scheme, smooth four-cylinder power, and unmistakable road presence, the Z1A remains a landmark model in motorcycle history. This example, now offered by TBR Classics, is a U.S. import and has been restored by us to near concourse condition, with attention paid to authenticity, performance, and presentation. It features matching numbers and retains its original frame—now professionally powder coated—alongside a refreshed engine that runs faultlessly.

Further Description
- History: from a local private collection
- Finished in beautifully repainted model-correct Candy Tone Green and Yellow, the bike presents to an exceptional standard. It is fitted with a brand new pattern 4-into-4 exhaust system, faithful to the original in both appearance and sound. The original airbox and serviced carburetors ensure smooth fuelling and proper period performance, while a set of aftermarket Hagon rear shocks subtly enhance the ride without compromising visual integrity. All chrome and trim are original and in excellent condition, and the detailing throughout reflects the care taken in this high-level restoration. There is very mild bolt tarnish, barely visible and consistent with careful use and period authenticity. The mileage is unknown, as the clocks were replaced prior to our ownership. This Z1A was sourced by TBR Classics from a well-regarded local collection, and stands as a prime example of Kawasaki’s most iconic four-cylinder machine—restored with expertise, finished with accuracy, and ready for both show and road.
